Adopt a Terrier (medium coat)

Terrier (medium coat) Dog

Wally the Dog needs a home

Wally came to the Sanctuary after one of his people passed away. Born in 2012, he lived in his previous home since he was 8 weeks old. He is shy and fearful with strangers, and new people need to earn his trust before he'll accept petting or handling. But once he feels comfortable, Wally likes people and enjoys learning training cues.Wally has been diagnosed with two tick-borne illnesses. He also guards food and has shown other guarding behaviors. Although he is still working on his people skills, Wally seems to love other dogs and enjoys playing with them at the Sanctuary. He currently lives with two dogs who have special needs, and he gives them both all the support and respect they need. In Dogtown, Wally is working on socializing with new people, handling and clicker training to learn basic training cues. Once he feels comfortable, he is a happy, mellow dog who enjoys hanging out or going on adventures.
